The parish childrens advocate is Mrs Linda Peat.

Children's Teaching I  'Holy in the Hall'

During the main Sunday Mass (10am) the Sunday School meets in the Father Wainright Hall.

Activities are directed by parents and include practical and fun work, glue scissors and paint !

There is a clear and solid pattern to teaching.

Childrens Teaching II  'Vive Jesu et Maria'

Confirmation groups for children run each year from October to early September the following year.

The groups meet in the Clergy House, the teaching is by one of the priests, assisted by lay people. There is a full course, including written work, homework and teaching on prayer.

Each year there is a confirmands weekend away, including daily Mass and Benediction, endless games of rounders, a massive team hide-and-seek, Treasure Hunt, daily teaching, meals together and Hot Chocolate and ghost stories.

All children make their first confession before they are confirmed.

Registration for the next course is in October 2006, just before School half-term week

Adult Learning I

NEW BEGININGS is a course for adults who have recently come to the Church, or who are still outside.

The setting of the course is informal, the evening includes, coffee, tea, discussion, teaching, and often a bottle of wine. Over a few weeks those with little contact with the Christian faith can build a picture of the main outlines of faith and practise, the practical applications of this faith at S. Peter's and in Wapping and the implications for their own lives.

The Next course will start in October 2006, with an a possibility of then joining the Adult further study group.

Adult Learning II

FOUNDATIONS OF FAITH is a course for those who have been confirmed. It was created under the direction of the Bishop of Fulham as a modern presentation of the traditional catholic faith.

It is made up of six self contained units each of five sessions. The units are intended to challenge adults to mature reflection on their faith and lives. The setting is the same as the New Beginings course.

The on-going group meets on Wednesday eveings at 7.30pm.

There will be a new foundations group starting in January 2007.

All welcome to either session, both at S. Peter's Clergy House.
